Overview
There is nothing quite like a sunrise and sunset over the mighty Himalayas. The rays of the effulgent sun change the color of the snowcapped peaks, as they go from grey to reddish-orange to finally a brilliant white. The rising sun bursts forth above the mountains in breathtaking awe. Finally, the last rays of the setting sun send up a reddish ray above the mountains as the sun retreats for the night.
During the day, there are plenty of things to see and do in the Kathmandu Valley. This trek will feature a number of interesting villages to pass through, each belonging to different cultures that live peacefully side by side. There are terraced farmlands along the way as well as interesting temples and scenery.
In Kathmandu, there are temples, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and much more to explore. This five day tour will also take you to the rarely visited village of Changu Narayan. The entire village is a World Heritage Site, and features the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley. It is the least visited of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites because of it’s out of the way location.
This trip offers some of the best there is to see in the Kathmandu Valley and will make for a memorable trip. Feel free to bring the family as it offers an easy trek that will make trekking with young families very enjoyable.
